The APT-3 program is a comprehensive, evidence-based direct attention training program aimed at improving underlying attention deficits secondary to acquired brain injury. It is an updated version of the predecessor programs (APT-1 and APT-2) with attention exercises delivered via computer. The program targets specific domains of attention commonly disrupted after an acquired brain injury including:
- Basic Sustained Attention
- Executive Control: Working Memory
- Executive Control: Selective Attention
- Executive Control: Suppression, and
- Executive Control: Alternating Attention.
A clinician interface allows the clinician to select exercises and associated parameters in order to create individual patient/client exercise profiles that are easily modifiable as the individual progresses.
The APT-3 software facilitates standardized, efficient delivery of the discrete attention tasks and provides self reflection opportunities. Clinicians deliver this therapy in conjunction with strategy training and generalization activities.

Volume 1 is a 60 page manual which includes full administration instructions and guidelines for treatment planning. Appendix A includes a set of prepackaged starter programs for the clinician. There are clear descriptions of the principles and procedures for stimulation of discrete attention subcomponents and methods for encouraging transfer of improved processing to everyday functioning.
Volume 2 is a 480 page printable PDF found on the Clinician Drive. It contains Appendix B, which is a complete set of score sheets for all tasks and activities. This allows clinicians to quickly review and select scoresheets when planning treatment activities and setting treatment goals.

What are the Hardware Requirements?
The APT-3 software is clinician friendly and designed to support busy professionals.
APT-3 will work with computers and laptops running Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11. No longer supported by Mac OS. The computer or laptop will need an available USB port for connecting the APT-3 USB hub. All of the software necessary to run the tool is contained on the drive. The clinician runs the program from the drive; thus, no software needs to be installed on the computer and any computer can be used to run the therapy program.

End-User License Agreement ("EULA")
Please carefully read this End-User License Agreement ("EULA") in its entirety before using the APT 3.
APT-3: Attention Process Training-3 ("Application") developed by
Personal Technologies LLC, McKay Moore Sohlberg, PhD, and Catherine Mateer, PhD.
The Application consists of an array of USB drives. The master drive is the Clinician Drive upon which is loaded self-contained software. Additional USB drives are the Client Practice Drives which are also loaded with self-contained software and sync with the Clinician Drive. APT 3 runs entirely from the USB drive without installing anything on the host PC.
By using the Application, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this EULA.
If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not use the Application and return the USB drives to Lash & Associates Publishing.
1. License
Personal Technologies LLC and Lash & Associates Publishing Inc. grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Application strictly in accordance with the terms of this EULA for a period of one (1) year from the date received. This license must be renewed annually through Lash & Associates Publishing.
2. Warranty
The Application is warrantied for one (1) year from the date received. This Warranty includes unlimited technical support, remote diagnostics and software updates throughout the Warranty period. This Warranty does not cover loss, accidental damage, theft, misuse, improper ejection or removal of the USB drive, or software corruption by any means.
3. Restrictions/Prohibitions
You will not license, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose or otherwise commercially exploit the Application or make the Application available to any third party.
Any attempt to copy, deconstruct/reverse engineer, alter or otherwise tamper with or modify the software, will result in legal action pursuant to the copyright laws of the United States and the resultant maximum civil and/or criminal penalties allowed.
4. Modifications to Application
Personal Technologies LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Application or any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you.
5. Term and Termination
This EULA shall remain in effect until terminated by you or Personal Technologies LLC.
Personal Technologies LLC may, in its sole discretion, at any time and for any or no reason, suspend or terminate this EULA with or without notice.
This EULA will terminate immediately without notice from Personal Technologies LLC in the event that you fail to comply with any provision of this EULA. You may also terminate this EULA by ceasing all use of the Application.
Upon termination of this EULA, you will cease all use of the Application and return the USB drives to
Lash & Associates Publishing.
6. Amendments to this EULA
Personal Technologies LLC or Lash & Associates Publishing reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this EULA at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
7. Severability
If any provision of this EULA is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
8. License Renewal
As previously stated, the APT 3 license must be renewed on an annual basis. Only the Clinician Drives need to be renewed. Practice drives do not need to be. Should you decide not to renew, drives must be returned to Lash & Associates Publishing at the address below. A shipping label will be provided by Lash & Associates.
